Greetings from Belgium! I’m truly happy you found your way to my little corner of the internet. Abyss-Ware.com is my personal online showcase dedicated to the craft and passion of scale modeling. This site is 100% non-commercial - no shop, no sales, no social media push, no affiliate links, and no sponsored content. I deliberately keep it away from social media because I’ve grown tired of the constant noise, the endless scroll of fake perfection, heavily filtered “content,” and the pressure to perform for algorithms. I don’t enjoy the flood of advertising, the rage-bait posts, the superficial comparisons, or the way platforms turn genuine hobbies into competitive highlight reels. Instead, I wanted to create a calm, friendly, and authentic space where I can share the models I’ve spent so much time and care creating - all expenses paid out of my own pocket - without distractions, tracking, or the need to chase likes and followers. Here, it’s just about the models, the craftsmanship, and the quiet joy of the hobby.
For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as an R&D engineer in the aero and military industries. During this time, I developed a deep admiration for military vehicles and aircraft - not as weapons, but as incredible achievements of engineering and design. Their history over the last century fascinates me, and appreciating these machines as technological wonders naturally led me to one of the most rewarding hobbies: scale modelling!!! I truly believe scale modelling is one of the best hobbies in the world! It’s not just about building miniatures - it’s about recreating history, celebrating craftsmanship, and capturing the essence of something real in a smaller, detailed form. For me, the most exciting part is the pursuit of realism: making a model look authentic, as if it were the real thing, only scaled down. Building models is my passion. I love the process - the planning, the detailing, the painting - every step that brings a model to life.
I created this website because I wanted a permanent, peaceful home for my collection. A place where anyone who visit can take a slow, relaxed look at the details without distractions. Whether you’re an experienced modeler looking for inspiration, a military history enthusiast, a photographer who appreciates fine details, or simply someone who enjoys seeing tiny worlds brought to life - I hope you feel welcome here. Sd. Kfz. 224/3 PUMA
The Sd. Kfz. 234/2, better known as the PUMA, was one of the most advanced German armored reconnaissance vehicles of the Second World War. Built by Büssing-NAG from 1943, it combined a highly mobile 8×8 chassis with substantial armor and a powerful main armament, making it a formidable vehicle for reconnaissance and combat operations. The PUMA was fitted with a fully enclosed, rotating turret armed with the 5 cm KwK 39/1 L/60 cannon, supported by a coaxial 7.92 mm MG 42 machine gun.
